We rebuild phaco handpieces from leading manufacturers such as Alcon and Bausch & Lomb. Rebuilds of these ultrasonic handpieces include the following:

  • Complete replacement of piezo ceramic crystals.
  • Replacement of wiring, cable and connector.
  • Replacement of electrode.

Phacos are tested and calibrated extensively as part of our QA processes on the same consoles on which they are used, which ensures that they will perform as expected when used in actual cataract surgery.

Given the reality of busy eye or cataract days, we have a ready supply of rebuilt handpieces, such as the Alcon Ozil handpiece that we can deliver within a few hours or early the next morning via Fedex. This enables our customers to minimize downtime and keeps your eye rooms running smoothly. As usual, our services also save you money vs. OEM’s & large independent service organizations. OEM quality, better service and savings of 20%+…call us and let us show you what we can do.

Laparoscopic and Specialty Surgical Instrument Repair

On-site mobile vans are not setup to perform quality repairs on laparoscopic and other specialty surgical instruments, which often require specialized tooling and equipment to properly disassemble and repair. We especially enjoy how pleasantly surprised customers are when we return an instrument that either their on-site instrument repair technician or other repair company deemed beyond repair. When you consider that specialty instrumentation easily costs $400-$2000+ per instrument to replace, repairing vs. replacing represents a significant money saving opportunity that can easily add up to tens of thousands of dollars per year for a busy operating room.

Here are several of the more popular specialty repairs categories we often see which include instruments from all leading manufacturers:

  • Laparoscopic graspers, scissors and dissectors.
  • Specialty cystoscopy/hysteroscopy instruments, including ceramic tipped sheaths.
  • Eye/micro instruments including .12 forceps.
  • Specialty retractor systems including Bookwalter, Thompson, Greenberg, etc.
  • Arthroscopy and sinus baskets and punches from all OEM’s.
  • Kerrison rongeurs, bipolars including Silverglide and titanium neuro forceps.

All instruments that are reinsulated are thoroughly hi-pot tested to ensure insulation integrity and patient safety. We provide 1-2 day turnaround times and can even schedule weekend service where instruments are picked up on Friday afternoon and are delivered back by Monday morning.

Many clients also request our expertise in modifying or customizing a given instrument or set for a specific surgeon or procedure, which costs significantly less than what OEM’s charge. Whether we are given an instrument to modify or given drawings for instrument customization, our technicians are fully able to deliver the precision required by surgeons in specialty cases.
